What problem & for whom
For whom: Anyone who needs 30 seconds of something simple. No strategy, no levels, no leaderboard. Just the muscle memory of childhood and a surprise waiting in the special bubbles.
Problem: Not every problem needs solving. Sometimes the only thing that needs fixing is a Monday afternoon that won't end.
This: Pop bubbles before they float away. Special ones burst into glitter. That's it.
The iteration
Bubbles was my first prototype. Idea, prompt, working result almost immediately. When an idea is truly simple, the build is simple too. No fighting the brief, no second-guessing the concept. The only things I added after were the glitter bubbles and the burst of chaos, for the people whose brain needs a little more. A quiet game with one surprise hidden inside it. Almost perfect from the start. Just pop.
What AI could and couldn't do
The special bubbles were generating at the bottom and never rising. They existed, just invisible. And when bubbles stacked on top of each other, only the one on top would pop. Tapping a bubble and nothing happening breaks the one promise a bubble game makes. Two fixes. Both of them the difference between broken and just works.
Minimum viable effort
If you had a childhood, you already know how to play this. No instructions needed.
